How to Gamble on Electronic Poker

[ English ]

Electronic Poker is a popular game that can be gambled on in casinos across the globe, or in your house on your home computer, through a net connection. The rules are absolutely simple and involve the player trying to achieve the greatest combination of cards as you can in order to come away with cash. In this respect it is much the same as a classic game of poker, apart from the line of contact with any other players. Of course, tactics employed during a real-life game of poker, such as bluffing, will be irrelevant here.

The game of Video Poker begins when the enthusiast inserts credits (either tokens, tickets or money) into the video poker machine and presses the deal button. A hand of five cards will be electronically ‘handed out’ on the screen.

The Electronic Poker machine also has hold buttons, and enthusiasts will need to now pick which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the gambler wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can decide to keep any number of cards they want, whether it’s all or none.

After the enthusiast has selected which cards he wishes to keep, the player will then press ‘draw’, at which point any new cards are needed they will be dealt. The game is now finished, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the hand to see if it matches any of the winning hands listed in the pay out schedule.

Normally, the minimum winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money getting larger for each better hand. A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It definitely goes without saying that the pay out schedule can range from game to game, so that discerning gamblers are agile enough to choose the most profitable ones every instance.

Once the initial round has completed, the player can either decide to stay on and try to to maximize their winnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any credits that might been won. Further, a few styles of the game give the enthusiast a chance to increase their profits, in which case a further round is played. There are also differences between individual machines, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other differing characteristics to increase playability.
